United Launch Alliance have successfully launched a Delta IV Medium rocket in the 5,2 configuration carrying the NROL-47 payload for the National Reconnaissance Office. Liftoff took place at 21:11 UTC, January 12th 2018 from Space Launch Complex 6 at Vandenberg Air Force Base. This was the 36th launch of a Delta IV rocket and the final flight fo the 5,2 configuration as Delta IV Medium is phased out ahead of the Vulcan rocket replacement ULA is designing.
